  Tuesday 8th June 2010
Total amount raised:  £686.66

Di aka Moonwitch rocketed her way into the record books for the NGVFA in June at the TT10 sprint on the Isle of Man.

Riding her power hog emblazoned with the NGVFA logo she not only raised an incredible 686.66 (as of the 5th July 2010) but she also won fastest girl!

Race Report from Moonwitch:

"Hello All You Lovely People!!!

I'm safely back from the Isle of Man TT for another year, and can report a very successful Ramsey Sprint Result!!!

Sprint day started with me waking up around 4am to the sound of torrential rain, and the outlook was pretty gloomy for anyone even turning a wheel in the morning... however, as the tide turned in Ramsey Harbour, so did the weather, and gradually the day brightened up enough for us to start sprinting.

The first couple of runs were tentative and a little on the "squirrelly" side of controlled!!! Whilst I was satisfied to at least have completed a couple of sprints, I was feeling more confident in Morpheus, and my times improved until I was turning in steady 8 second runs. Anyone who remembers last year's Sprint will know my best time was 7.97 seconds. Well, I broke through the 8 second wall and put in an exact matching time. After a short break and a large can of Monster Energy drink to cool off (the orange flavoured one is really yummy!!), I grabbed Morph by the scruff and as soon as I launched him, I knew my time was going to be felt banzai!!! further ado... best time was achieved on my 20th Sprint...7.92 seconds......and this year, I won the trophy for being the Fastest Lady at the 2010 Sprint!!!! Added to that, the Trophy was presented by ex British Superbike Champion John Reynolds, and one of my musical heroes, Keith Flint of The Prodigy!

I came 9th overall in my cc-class of smelly boys, and beat my nearest lady rival by 0.31 seconds, and she was on a bigger bike in the bigger cc-class (Gixxer 750!!) Morpheus rocks!!!

So, I'd just like to say a HUGE THANKS to everyone for their support, and a special mention to my fab partner Nige, who put stickers all over my bike, paid my entry fee and gave me the confidence to go for it again this year (for the record, Nige came 2nd in his cc-class and also got a very smart trophy for his troubles!!!)... and I've still got a collecting tin to count up, and some cash donations from some really lovely people both on the Isle of Man and back here on Blighty. You've all been wonderfully generous and I know the NGVFA will be putting the funds to good use for our brave service men & women.

Love from
Moonwitch xxx

PS Thanks to Goose for taking all the pics, and Ange for coming along in the pouring rain to cheer me on xxx"
