| Title : | Tabloid support for DLA and AA campaign |
The tabloids have finally started to take notice of the planned cuts for DLA and AA for the over 65, which were outlined in the Autumn 2009 edition of the Oasis Times, hopefully adding more pressure on the Government to change their decision.
"The Daily Mail published an article highlighting a 'rebellion' by Labour MPs 'over plans to end benefits for needy pensioners'.
According to the Mail a backbench revolt against plans to axe AA and DLA for over-65s is being led by disabled Labour MP Anne Begg, along with Roger Berry, chairman of the commons disability group, and Jeremy Corbyn."
