Below are NGVFA members who have sadly passed away:

Paul Johnson

We have just been informed that we have lost another veteran.

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Paul Johnson, who served with the RAF in the first Gulf, has passed away on Tuesday 25th July 2023.

We have no further details.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his Wife Alison and the rest of his family at this time.

Barry Derrick

We have just been informed that we have lost another veteran. It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Barry Derrick, who served with the Royal Army Medical Corps in the first Gulf, has passed away.

We have no further details; however, the funeral will take place at:

Venue: Taunton Crematorium, Wellington New Rd, Taunton TA1 5NE.
Day: Friday 4th August
Time: 12.30

We send our sincere condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Barry - gone but never forgotten.

Paula Bootham

We have just been informed that we have lost another veteran. It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Paula Bootham, who served with the 32 Field Hospital in the first Gulf, passed away on Tuesday 18th July - she was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Her funeral will be held on the 8th August 2023 at 10:30 am:

St. John's Church
Atherton Road
Hindley Green
Wigan WN2 4S

Afterwards there will be an interment at:
Gidlow Cemetary
Standish
Wigan
WN6 OAD

Brian Perrin

Mr Brian Perrin, who served in the Army, 1st Gulf and NI, passed away last week in LOROS Hospice (No details).

The funeral details are:

  • Great Glen Crematorium
  • 9 London Rd, Great Glen, Leicester LE8 9DJ
  • Tuesday 20th December 2022 at 4.30 pm

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time. God Bless

Gary Drummond

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Gary Drummond, who served with the 1st Battalion Royal Scots, has passed away.

We send our sincere condolences to his family and his best pal Terry. Rest in Peace Gary gone but never forgotten. xxx

His funeral was on the 1st of September at Mortonhall Crematorium, 30B Howden Hall Rd, Edinburgh EH16 6TX

Ian Farmer

Ian Farmer, who served in the Royal Navy and was a Gulf 1 Veteran, died on Tuesday 23rd August 2022.
