Posted 07/11/2014

We have heard some very sad news today of the sudden death of one of our members - Chris Walmsley, aged 42, who unfortunately took his own life yesterday Thursday 6th November.

Chris had served in Bosnia, Gulf 1 and Northern Ireland, and had recently moved from Germany to Bolton.

Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Update: Christian's funeral took place at St Annes Church, Turton, Lancashire on Friday the 21st of November.

Rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sad passing after a long illness of Mrs Mary Hooper, the late wife of Professor Malcolm Hooper. Many of you will remember Mary and have met her at the respite or earlier events that the NGVFA did. Mary selflessly supported Malcolm whilst he was off travelling around working on behalf of Gulf War Veterans and we send our thoughts and love to Malcolm and his family at this sad time. We are aware that the funeral is being delayed and will be held on 16th August.

Rest in peace.
